ATTENTION GROUPON USERS

If you have an unredeemed Groupon for a BYOB Beginner Mosaic Class, the amount you would have received as part of the Groupon deal prior to the expiration (“the promotional value”), is now expired.  However, you can use the amount you paid for the Groupon (“the paid value”) toward the purchase of a full-price class. For example, if the paid value of your Groupon was $35, the $35 can be used towards the $300 Beginner Mosaics Seminar and you would owe the remaining $265 at the time you schedule your seminar.

Seminars

Beginner Mosaics Seminar $300:

Create a small project such as a photo frame or wood cutout while learning the basics of mosaic art and grouting. Class begins at 9am.  Light snacks and coffee will be available. You will have 4 hours to work on your project, which includes both instruction and work time. Then, your project needs time to dry to avoid tiles shifting around as you grout.  So, at 1 pm, take a 90 minute “lunch-on–your own” break. Desert Ridge is very close and features numerous tasty spots for lunch, and shopping. When you return from lunch, you will be provided instruction on the basics of grouting and will have one hour to mix grout, grout your project, and polish it. The seminar will adjourn at 3 pm and your project will be clean and ready to bring home and display.

The seminar includes instruction, your project, and supplies. If for some reason you are not able to complete your project during the seminar and need to return for more studio time, there is an additional fee of $65 per hour per student. The minimum amount of time that can be scheduled is 1 hour. A nonrefundable $65 deposit is required at the time of scheduling and is subject to our cancellation policy.*

Intermediate Mosaics Seminar $375: (Prerequisite: Beginner Mosaics Seminar)

In the Intermediate Seminar, you will create a medium-sized project such as a bird house, large photo frame, a planter, or a wine bottle, using intermediate techniques, including working with stained glass and cutting your own tiles. Class begins at 9 am. Light snacks and coffee will be available. You will have 3.5 hours to work on your project, which includes both instruction and work time. Take a break for lunch at 12:30 pm — “lunch-on–your own” at  Desert Ridge which features numerous tasty spots for lunch, and shopping. When you return to the studio at 2 pm, you will have 3 hours to complete your project. At 5 pm, this seminar will adjourn and you will  be provided with step-by-step instructions, grout, and grouting supplies so that you can grout your project at home once it dries. In other words, you will leave the studio with an un-grouted project and you will mix grout, grout your project, and polish it at home.

This seminar includes instruction, your project, and supplies. If for some reason you are not able to complete your project during the seminar and need to return for more studio time, or you wish to schedule a separate grouting class, there is an additional fee of $65 per hour per student. The minimum amount of time that can be scheduled is 1 hour.  A nonrefundable $65 deposit is required at the time of scheduling and is subject to our cancellation policy.*

Additional classes, seminars, private lessons, or advanced projects may be available. Please contact TLEE Gallery for additional information.
